2009 Bonnaroo Artists

After attending three bonnaroo festivals myself, I can say the quality has taken a huge decline in the past years. Honestly, who in their right mind would pay nearly $300 for a ticket to a festival with Metallica as a headliner?!?!?! Now, as I’m not a huge fan of the headliner in Bruce Springsteen, I can still see copious possibility for great festival moments in the rest of the lineup, not to mention the fact that they always have some great last-minute artist additions. Anyhow, if you’ve never been, it would behoove you to check out the lineup and look into getting yourself over to Tennessee in June…what else do you have going on? Check out the lineup in this cool animated clip.

After a quick glance of the lineup, David Byrne, Erykah Badu, Animal Collective, and King Sunny Adé stand out. Minus The Killers headlining (???), I still think the Coachella lineup is a bit better so far (My Bloody Valentine, Morrissey, N.A.S.A., The Presets, Ariel Pink, Drop the Lime, Gang Gang Dance, Hercules and Love Affair, Liars, Junior Boys, Clipse, Public Enemy, Roni Size, Throbbing Gristle, The Cure….on and on).

all i know is Coachella is impossible for one who is in school until May 31st, while June is a free month…

I just wish somebody would hurry up and let Jewel headline one of these festivals. People would murder for a ticket to that.
